"Listen to me, you will be my next Padawan, little child!" says Obi Wan Kenobi

Chinese New Year had past for 2 days and I'm still in the mood for it. Perhaps I'm overly joyed from the CNY Lunch at my grandmom's place 2 days ago. Initially the plan was just between my family + my grandmom to have steamboat, but at last minute... almost all the extended family tipped in!.. except my Aunt-Gee and her family in Kelantan, hey.. cannot force them to drive 8 hours straight from Kelantan to Klang, thats just plain cruel.

We had a food feast that day. Steamboat, teppanyaki (I dont know what teppanyaki has to do with the Chinese theme), puddings, dim sum, egg noodle, peanuts, sunflower seeds, pineapple fried rice, chinese tea, fortune cookies and tons of oranges! We asked Aunt-Norly to bring the egg rolls, she end up brought CNY Cheezy Bitez Pizza which is alright for all of us.

And of course, besides the food, the main attraction was the one month old Omar. He spent much of his time sleeping that day, when he's not sleeping.. he'll scream. At a month old, he cant do much adorable stuff. But we all cant help to noticed how chubs he is and thats made him just to be plain cute! And I'm glad he uses the Winnie The Pooh bolster that I gave. =)

He sleeps

He sleeps again...

He sleeps again and again...!

... he looks like my late grandfather!

Later that evening the cousins spent time chit-chatting and catching up. I have to admit, oh wow.. how fast my younger cousins have grown, physically and mentally. As the eldest cousin,  I often thought my cousins are bunch of kids, but that day... I was amused of the vocabs that they chose in their coversation, I was amused but wasnt impressed. Hey, we managed to snap crazy pictures later that evening! But the crazy pictures didnt work so well because everybody was too stuffed out from the lunch.

Impersonating Mary Poppin?

Oh yea, my grandmom gave us all girls an identical braceletes + earings instead of angpau! I guess she gave those to reminds us that we are actually RELATED. haha. Sometimes I do forgot about it.

But all I can say is, my grandmom was the happiest person that day. It showed. Perhaps all these while the family failed to get along much even during the Eid. Sad. Each of the extended families does contribute to the slacks of picture perfect family and I honestly confest I do contribute a minor amount of it. But mainly because I hate to see my grandmom get hurt, and I know... nobody loves my grandmom as much as I do. When she's happy, I'll be 10 times happier! Therefore, that day my grandmom was at the top notch of her happiness!
I hope the happy momentos will not just end there. I opt for more family gatherings in future and hopes all the extended families will be in. Yam-sing! (a toast or cheers in Mandarin)

p.s: My fortune cookies says....

.... care to gimmie prezzies, anyone?
