"Listen to me, you will be my next Padawan, little child!" says Obi Wan Kenobi

Chinese New Year had past for 2 days and I'm still in the mood for it. Perhaps I'm overly joyed from the CNY Lunch at my grandmom's place 2 days ago. Initially the plan was just between my family + my grandmom to have steamboat, but at last minute... almost all the extended family tipped in!.. except my Aunt-Gee and her family in Kelantan, hey.. cannot force them to drive 8 hours straight from Kelantan to Klang, thats just plain cruel.

We had a food feast that day. Steamboat, teppanyaki (I dont know what teppanyaki has to do with the Chinese theme), puddings, dim sum, egg noodle, peanuts, sunflower seeds, pineapple fried rice, chinese tea, fortune cookies and tons of oranges! We asked Aunt-Norly to bring the egg rolls, she end up brought CNY Cheezy Bitez Pizza which is alright for all of us.

And of course, besides the food, the main attraction was the one month old Omar. He spent much of his time sleeping that day, when he's not sleeping.. he'll scream. At a month old, he cant do much adorable stuff. But we all cant help to noticed how chubs he is and thats made him just to be plain cute! And I'm glad he uses the Winnie The Pooh bolster that I gave. =)

He sleeps

He sleeps again...

He sleeps again and again...!

... he looks like my late grandfather!

Later that evening the cousins spent time chit-chatting and catching up. I have to admit, oh wow.. how fast my younger cousins have grown, physically and mentally. As the eldest cousin,  I often thought my cousins are bunch of kids, but that day... I was amused of the vocabs that they chose in their coversation, I was amused but wasnt impressed. Hey, we managed to snap crazy pictures later that evening! But the crazy pictures didnt work so well because everybody was too stuffed out from the lunch.

Impersonating Mary Poppin?

Oh yea, my grandmom gave us all girls an identical braceletes + earings instead of angpau! I guess she gave those to reminds us that we are actually RELATED. haha. Sometimes I do forgot about it.

But all I can say is, my grandmom was the happiest person that day. It showed. Perhaps all these while the family failed to get along much even during the Eid. Sad. Each of the extended families does contribute to the slacks of picture perfect family and I honestly confest I do contribute a minor amount of it. But mainly because I hate to see my grandmom get hurt, and I know... nobody loves my grandmom as much as I do. When she's happy, I'll be 10 times happier! Therefore, that day my grandmom was at the top notch of her happiness!
I hope the happy momentos will not just end there. I opt for more family gatherings in future and hopes all the extended families will be in. Yam-sing! (a toast or cheers in Mandarin)

p.s: My fortune cookies says....

.... care to gimmie prezzies, anyone?

I was listening to lite.fm in the car the other day and suddenly i was turned on to a song What Now, My Love? by Frank Sinatra and Aretha Franklin. Really captivated by that song, sung by 2 larger than live legends and I thought its just simply bea-u-ti-ful! Though the song aint about pleasant feelings much, but i dont know.. the swing just play its magic in that song. It feels soooo good. Come on, just click the youtube, will ya!

Came back from which ever place i went, twas still in the mood for the song. Thus, I changed my facebook's status to the tittle of the song and I played the youtube all night long (love love love!). The next day I received a comment from someone i know for couple of years ago. His name is Khalid (bukan nama sebenar) questioning upon my status. I explained to him its a song from Frank Sinatra and Aretha Franklin. Then later that day he replied...

"owh... the guy with a fake butt!"

I was like.. what his fucking problem, man??? So pissed, i replied "whateva" to his page.

After 24 hours considering and still incensed by his comment, I decided to remove Khalid from my friend list. That's it.

As a musician, I have a high sense of respect to other fellow musicians, regardless if they are big names or just a minor in the industry.  U will never hear "I HATE that song!" came out from my mouth, its just so absurd. Regardless what ever they do, like Micheal Jackson with his plastic surgeries, like Britney Spears became sucha rebel mom of 2 boys, like Marilyn Manson for being... simply odd?, i will never questioned and judged them from there. Thats just who they are. And to tell you the truth, I barely keep track now days with who sings what on the radio.. because I only judge them from the music they aired. If the song didnt up to my standard, the song is ain't for me then. No hate happening here, because I believe each song, each what ever piece have its own effort of lifes behind it. So, we gotta respect the music for that.

As for Frank Sinatra, I grew up listening to his jazz-swing music... like Fly Me To The Moon (love love love!), Cant Take My Eyes Off You and My Way (haha, my father's fave by far). Therefore I hv a certain respect towards him. I dont mind other people doesnt hv the same respect or point of view towards him like I do, but I do mind when people dissing upon something  what I like/love. Next time, if you know something that I like but u dislike em'.. please, for heaven sake, keep them to yourself.

Fly Me To The Moon, shall we?

And as a humble human being, I'm trying my best to respect every fellow human beings around. But in the same time I do expect that fellow human beings to at least have a sense of respect towards me too. If he/she failed to give me the amount of respect I demand, then I dont think he/she desserve the respect I've given.

p.s: i hv other reasons to removed Khalid from my list:
  1. he's useless, brings no good to me at all.
  2. he always make me feel bad upon his comments.
  3. he's a blardy sex maniac. go die u frigging pervert.
  4. he has no sense of respect, and i think especially to women.
  5. dissing Frank Sinatra is like an icing on the cake of my fury. what's ur damn prob with Frank anyway???

Last sunday was the Majlis Cukur Jambul for my 2 weeks old cousin, Baby Om. Borned on 19th December 2008 at 10.30pm with the weight 3.70kg, he's the first born of proud parents Angkoi (it suppose to be Uncle, but i was pelat back then. Therefore, everybody call him Angkoi) and Auntie-M. Just to fresh some memories, I was the wedding planner/videographer for their wedding back in December 2007.

Me, Marissa, Opah and Baby Om
Given name Muhammad Omar Kamily b. Amiruddin, he's the continoual of The Ahmad Kamily legacy (my late grandfather) since his father (angkoi) is the only son in the sibling. But not long after that, the name has been change to Ahmad Omar b. Amiruddin due to the long name issue. To be frank, I prefer the first name better or Omar Kamily instead. But any how, he's still my one and only Baby Om!
Baby Om about to screaaaam

I arrived late at the majlis cukur jambul (my Angkoi's father-in-law's crib), therefore I missed the whole thing. That's the first time I met Baby Om, because I was in Kelantan when he borned. He's very baik, tido je... even tho' he basically di-pass-pass to countless of arms that day. But as soon the mother put him on the mattress, woah... he's such a screamo! Baby Om ni ikut siapa? Well.. judging from testimonies I received, he drinks alot (milk) and sleep alot.. i gotta say.. angkoi. -.-"

p.s:
  1. Well, at first everybody called him Omar. But since I called him Baby Om, everybody seems to call him Baby Om instead. Hahah
  2. Produced this blog 2 days after the weekend. I got sick ever since I came back from the majlis up till today.

I was wondering... since I wanna do a slight change in my room... what should I put to replace this Maksim bunting on my feature wall?

My room is small but cosy. People said if siapa tido dalam my room, sure susah nak bangun. Hahaha. This bunting had been up since 2004, therefore I'd been staring this bunting for 5 years now, every single day. Got it during Maksim's huge concert on April 2004 and on that time I was still on piano craze and way before my piano became a titanic in the flash flood. (ah, tragic.. still, I've failed to get over it). Yea, I must admit.. though its been 5 years, I still enjoy ogling this banner. Since I'm in the spirit of room makeover, I feel like replacing this bunting and keep it in my safe for good. But I still clueless what to replace with. Is it another bunting (I only keep Star Wars and Maksim's, the rest I've discarded)? Mirror perhaps? I dont know, but once I got something that is way better than this, then I will bring down this bunting. So, for the mean time I still can lay my eagle eyes on Maksim. =)

Just now, before I came up with this blog...  I was freaking out due to the lost of my camera. Well, the camera ain't that so much of a great... its my Canon Ixus 860 IS. This camera is like among my biggest possesion (after my piano incident, besides my car) and I usually bring it where ever I go (except when I do my groceries or pasar). More or less, my soul mate la. I even keep it near my bed along with my phone and the air-cond remote. Just now I wanted to recharge the battery before the majlis cukur jambul of my new born cousin tomorrow and I was so flip out because I couldnt find that damn camera. Recently my mom asked me to clean my room, so I was up for the spring cleaning and clearing and rearranging stuffs. I remember I put the camera in a paper bag so it wont stray anywhere. I've searched high and low and practically became insane for one hour (I even bugged Farid who is currently in Surabaya at the moment, because I went histerically nuts), until I found it under my note book on my table. =.=" How great God is, He could really test ones faith by mengkaburkan something yg actually is infront of our vary eyes. In the other hand, I need to learn how to chill.

This morning I was pretty amazed by the front cover story of The Star regarding whale shark caught by fishermen in Penang. Then I couldnt stop cursing (blame my bad morning - I wasnt in a good mood and the weather was bad either) as I continue reading it. My doubt was, why did the fishermen pull that 2 tonne whale shark to the beach? Kesian dia, let say that fish get caught in the net... why they cannot just let it go instead of dragging this fish all the way to the shore? If the fish is readily injured and nyawa-nyawa ikan I think ok jugak la to pull it off and show off. But if its healthy, please.. just let it free la. Kesian dia. Though this Rhincodon typus does not pose any harm to human (as they are known for their gentle and playfulness) but this species is consider vulnarable by IUCN. Credit to the fishermen because they informed the state Department of Fisheries but I just wonder what would they do with that fish? I've been to Penang's Department of Fisheries before, I just hope they will not end up put it in one of their aquarium!... or die in this mere time. Either way I'm gonna get pretty angry.

p.s: this is something I did not inherit from my late grandfather. My late grandfather was a pretty hardcore hunter while I end up to be a so-called wild nature activist and a proud member of World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Malaysia since 2004. I'm just one step away from being a vegan! Seriously.
